Service terms

Before we work on your tech.

These terms set expectations for home and home-office tech help from Admin After Hours. They are written to be plain English, not legal advice.

Summary: service is best-effort, you are responsible for backups and account access, parts/software are separate, and no specific repair or recovery result is guaranteed.

Authorization to perform work

By booking or accepting service, you authorize Admin After Hours to perform the requested troubleshooting, setup, cleanup, configuration, or support work on the device, network, account, accessory, or equipment you provide access to.

Best-effort service

Technology work can involve unknown issues. Admin After Hours provides best-effort assistance and does not guarantee a specific outcome, repair, recovery, speed improvement, compatibility result, or permanent fix.

Backups, passwords, and account access

You are responsible for backing up important files and confirming you have access to needed passwords, recovery emails, authenticator apps, administrator accounts, product keys, subscriptions, and other account recovery methods before the appointment.

Known risks

You understand that troubleshooting or setup work may involve risk, including data loss, configuration changes, account lockouts, software issues, hardware failure, device downtime, or third-party service interruptions. Some problems may already exist before service begins or may become visible during troubleshooting.

Limitations of responsibility

Admin After Hours is not responsible for pre-existing issues, failing hardware, unsupported software, missing backups, lost or unavailable passwords, third-party outages, customer-provided parts or software, or problems caused by instructions, access, or information provided by the customer.

Parts, software, and purchases

Parts, paid software, subscriptions, replacement hardware, and third-party services are not included in the service price. Any purchase must be approved before it is made. Admin After Hours does not purchase hardware or paid software out-of-pocket unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Data, privacy, and sensitive information

Please close or remove private, financial, medical, legal, or sensitive information before service when possible. Do not share passwords unless necessary for the requested work. If a password must be used, you should change it after the appointment.

On-site appointments

For on-site visits, you agree to provide a safe working environment, accurate address information, parking or access instructions when needed, and notice of pets, gates, stairs, or other access concerns.

Scope of service

Admin After Hours is focused on household and home-office tech help. Service may be declined or stopped if the requested work is outside scope, unsafe, unlawful, involves someone else’s systems without authorization, or requires tools, licenses, access, or expertise not available at the appointment.

Booking acknowledgment

By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read these service terms and understand that service is best-effort and limited to the requested scope.
